Alba Regia

Asteroid 111468, Alba Regia, was discovered on December 23, 2001 by Krisztián Sárneczky and Gabor Furész at Piszkesteto Observatory near Mátraszentimre, Heves county, Hungary. It has a period of 5 years, 88 days.

It was named for Furesz's birthplace, Székesfehérvár, Fejer county, Hungary, an ancient city and former royal residence whose existence predates the arrival of the Magyars in what is now Hungary; "Székesfehérvár" means "seat of the white castle" and the city has been known as "white castle" in various other languages, including Latin (Alba Regia). It is now an industrial and commercial center and tourist destination.
