Asteroid 23061, Blueglass, was discovered on December 7, 1999 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) Team at Socorro, New Mexico. It has a period of 5 years, 186 days.

It was named for Yorktown Heights, New York high-school science teacher Michael Blueglass, who mentored a finalist in the 2004 Intel Science Talent Search (STS) science fair for high school seniors.
