Asteroid 23284, Celik, was discovered on December 30, 2000 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) Team in Socorro, New Mexico. It has a period of 3 years, 292 days.

It was named for Turkish high-school student Burak Celik (born 1989), of Istanbul, a contestant in the 2007 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair whose chemistry team project received first place.
