Crisara

Asteroid 28443, Crisara, discovered January 5, 2000 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team (LINEAR) at Socorro, New Mexico. It has a period of 3 years, 119 days.

It was named for teenage 2011 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair contestant Alexander Raymond Crisara (born 1994), of Austin. Alex was awarded first place for his project, undertaken along with Anderson High School classmate Jahan Rabii, in which they attempted to engineer a system to use algae to filter air, generate oxygen and potentially provide food for astronauts on long space flights.
