Dembowska

Asteroid 349 Dembowska is a main belt asteroid discovered December 9, 1892 by Auguste Charlois, at Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France. It has a period of 5 years and is about 87 miles in diameter.

It was named for Italian astronomer Baron Ercole Dembowski (1812-1881), who was known for his careful measurement of thousands of double stars. Of Polish descent, he inherited the title Baron from his father, Jan Dembowski, one of Napoleon I's generals, and served in the navy of the Austro-Hungarian empire.

Some research was done on Dembowska by Batya Stark in the 1980s. Astrologically, Dembowska has been linked to overdrive/self-blocking, not being ready for something, where one messes up.
