Dizzy


Assteroid 5831, Dizzy, was discovered on May 4, 1991 by Seiji Ueda and Hiroshi Kaneda at Kushiro, Hokkaido, Japan. It has a period of 4 years, 149 days and is about 9 3/4 miles in diameter.

It was named for the great American jazz trumpeter John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie (1917-1993).
