Asteroid 4693, Drummond, was discovered on November 28, 1983 by Edward Bowell at Lowell Observatory near Flagstaff, Arizona. It has a period of 3 years, 162 days.

It was named for astronomer Jack D. Drummond, a specialist in meteors, comets and asteroids.
