Asteroid 84015, Efthymiopoulos, was discovered August 5, 2002 by the Campo Imperatore Near-Earth Object Survey (CINEOS) at Rome Observatory's Campo Imperatore Station near Fonte Cereto, L'Aquila province, Italy, northeast of Rome. It has a period of 3 years, 234 days.

It was named for Greek astronomer and professor Christos Efthymiopoulos (born 1971).
