Fantomas


Asteroid 242492, Fantomas, was discovered on November 10, 2004 by Michel Ory at Nogales, Arizona. It has a period of 4 years, 51 days and is about 1 2/5 miles in diameter.

It was named for a classic character in French crime fiction, a mysterious, elusive, vicious and utterly unprincipled master of disguise. Fantomas was created in 1911 by Marcel Allain and Pierre Souvestre.
