Fole

Asteroid 10129, Fole, was discovered on March 19, 1993 at the European Southern Observatory in the course of the Uppsala-ESO Survey of Asteroids and Comets. It has a period of 3 years, 69 days.

It is named for Fole, a small village just east of Visby in Gotland Municipality, Gotland County, Sweden. Fole is noted for a well-preserved stone house dating from the Middle Ages, the Vatlings House.

However, asteroid Fole seems to have an influence informed by the way its name might sound to an English speaker: fool, to fool, to play the fool, to act foolishly.
