Franklina

Asteroid 982, Franklina, was discovered May 21, 1922 by Harry Edwin Wood at Johannesburg. It has a period of 5 years, 135 days and is about 20 2/3 miles in diameter.

It was named for British amateur astronomer John Franklin-Adams (18431912), who, like Wood, worked in South Africa and compiled one of the earliest photographic atlases of the sky, the Franklin-Adams Charts.

Astrologically, asteroid Franklina seems to indicate headache, head trauma (Mireille Leblanc); "a pain in the butt."
