Goto

Asteroid 2621, Goto, was discovered February 9, 1981 by Tsutomu Seki at Geisei Observatory in Kochi, Kochi prefecture, Japan. It has a period of 5 years, 150 days and is slightly less than 27 4/5 miles in diameter.

It was named for Japanese telescope and planetarium manufacturer Seizo Goto (1891-1982), founder of Goto Optics.

Astrologically, asteroid Goto seems to indicate dismissive, to go to, a "go-to" person.
