Grieve

Asteroid 4451, Grieve, was discovered May 9, 1988 by Carolyn S. Shoemaker at Palomar Mountain Observatory. It has a period of 4 years, 73 days.

It was named for Canadian geologist Richard Grieve, a specialist in meteor craters on Earth and on the Moon.

Richard Grieve

The meaning of asteroid Grieve seems to be what its name might suggest: grief(Henk Middelraad); also, possibly, to "give someone grief", or, having to do with meteor or asteroid craters.
