Hathor

Asteroid 2340, Hathor, an Aten asteroid, was discovered on October 22, 1976 by Charles Kowal at Palomar Observatory near Pauma Valley, California. It has a period of 283 days and is about a fifth of a mile in diameter.

It was named for the Egyptian goddess Hathor; known as a sky-goddess and the daughter of Ra, Hathor was identified with the Greek goddess Aphrodite.

Astrologically, Hathor seems to indicate to find love, to "feel the love," to be loving, to look for love, attracting interest, something new and interesting, attractive..

The glyph for Hathor is mine and is based on the menat, a necklace which in ancient Egypt was the goddess Hathor's symbol.
