Herberta

Asteroid 1363, Herberta, was discovered August 30, 1935 by Eugene Delporte at Uccle, Belgium. Herberta has a period of 4 years, 345 days and is about 8 2/3 miles in diameter.

It was named for Herbert Clark Hoover (1874-1964), 31st President of the United States (from 1929 to 1933). A mining engineer by training, he also served as Commerce Secretary under Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge and was heavily involved in relief efforts in Europe after both World Wars (his relief work in Belgium after World War I got this asteroid named after him, and another asteroid, Hooveria, discovered by Austrian astronomer Johann Palisa, was also named after Hoover, for his assistance to Austria after World War I). However, Hoover's reputation was damaged by his inability to deal effectively with the Great Depression, which began on his watch.

Herbert Hoover

Astrologically, Herberta seems to indicate out of control, crazy, dangerous, narrow-minded, bureaucratic.

The glyph for Herberta is mine.
