Jokaste

Asteroid 899, Jokaste , was discovered on August 3, 1918 by Maximilian Wolf at Heidelberg, Germany. It has a period of 4 years, 349 days and is about 19 1/4 miles in diameter.

It was named for Queen Iocaste (or Jokaste) of Thebes, the mother/wife of the tragic King Oedipus.

Astrologically, asteroid Jokaste seems to be about to blunder, to do wrong without meaning to, "the awful truth," harmed by a loved one; possibly, mother-son incest.
