
Asteroid 3362, Khufu, an Aten asteroid, was discovered on August 30, 1984 by R. Scott Dunbar and Maria A. Barucci at the Palomar Observatory near Pauma Valley, California. It has a period of 359 days and is about half a mile in diameter.
It was named for the Egyptian pharaoh Khufu (aka Cheops), builder of the Great Pyramid.
