Asteroid 162011, Konnohmaru, is an Amor asteroid discovered on January 4, 1994 by Yoshio Kushida and Osamu Muramatsu at the Yatsugatake South Base Observatory in Hokuto, Yamanashi, Japan. It has a period of 4 years, 275 days.
Konnohmaru is a legendary warrior of Japan's brief Heiji Rebellion (1159-1160) between Emperor Goshirakawa and his successor Emperor Nijo and the allied Taira clan, and Fujiwara no Nobuyori and his allies the Minamoto clan, who attempted a coup in which Nobuyori briefly became Nijo's chancellor. Japanese mythology says Konnohmaru served Yoshitomo Minamoto, who fled and was betrayed and murdered by one of his retainers. Konnohmaru became a priest, traveled throughout Japan, and prayed for Yoshitomo's spirit. His brother Yoritomo came back after a period of exile, defeated the Taira in 1185 at the battle of Dannoura and became the first shogun, beginning the long period of feudalism in Japan known as the Shogunate that lasted until the mid-19th century. Konnohmaru attacked the house of Yoritomo's brother Yoshisune on Yoritomo's orders with 100 soldiers in an attempt to arrest Yoshisune and ended up dying in battle. The Konnoh Hachimangu shrine in the Shibuya section of Tokyo is dedicated to Konnohmaru, and his story in the Tale of Heiji, which tells the story of the Heiji Rebellion, is now told as a Kabuki dance.

Konnohmaru
The meaning of asteroid Konnohmaru seems to be: some sort of milestone, inevitable and permanent change; possibly devotion to remembrance of victimhood, duty even unto death, revenge as a religious obligation.
