Krystosek

Asteroid 18004, Krystosek, was discovered May 12, 1999 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) Team at Socorro, New Mexico. It has a period of 3 years, 136 days and is aboyut 2 1/6 miles in diameter.

It was named for Bagley, Minnesota high school student Rebecca Jennifer Krystosek (born 1984), who was awarded first place in the 2003 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for her environmental science project, "Rises and Falls of a Great River: An Intensive Bioassessment of the Mississippi's First 382 Miles."

The meaning of asteroid Krystosek seems to be experience of tyranny or coercion; possibly also, the biology of rivers and streams.
