Lola

Asteroid 463, Lola, was discovered on October 31, 1900 by Maximilian Wolf at Heidelberg, Germany. It has a period of 3 years, 261 days and is 19.97 kilometers (about 12 2/5 miles) in diameter.

It may have been named for a character in the 1890 opera Cavalleria Rusticana by the Italian composer Pietro Mascagni (1863-1945). Lola, the hero Turridu's fiancee, married a cart driver named Alfio while Turridu was away doing military service, setting in motion a chain of events which ends in a duel between Turridu and Alfio in which Turridu is killed.

The meaning of asteroid Lola seems to be: strippers, trying to make it on one's own (Damien Foor); to not have broken, embarrassing, cut off, isolated, naked .
