Magritte


Asteroid 7933, Magritte, an Amor asteroid, was discovered on February 24, 1989 by Eric W. Elst at European Southern Observatory. It has a period of 3 years, 203 days and is a little less than 2 miles in diameter.

It was named for the Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte Lessines (1898-1967).
