
Asteroid 30406, Middleman, was discovered May 27, 2000 by Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) Team at Socorro, New Mexico.It has a period of 3 years, 140 days and is slightly over 2 miles in diameter.
It was named for Elaine Middleman, a Palo Alto,California teacher who mentored a finalist in the 2015 Intel Science Talent Search (STS), a science competition for high school seniors.
