Mjolnir

Asteroid 85585, Mjolnir, an Apollo asteroid, was discovered on March 21, 1998 by Roy Tucker at the Goodricke-Pigott Observatory in Tucson, Arizona. It has a period of 1 year, 174 days.

It was named for the magic hammer of Thor, god of thunder and defender of the world in Norse mythology. Forged by the dwarf Eitri, Mjolnir had the power to return to Thor's hand when he threw it. He once used it to kill Thrym, a Frost Giant who stole the hammer and held it hostage in an unsuccessful extortion scheme.

Astrologically, asteroid Mjolnir has been linked to the use of force or forcefulness, abduction or being held prisoner or hostage, and tools that can be relied upon by astrologer Raymond Andrews; also, coming back, boomeranging, being "hammered", potent weapon or weapons of mass destruction

.

The glyph for Mjolnir is mine and is the ancient symbol for Thor's hammer, Mjolnir.
