Asteroid 4752, Myron, was discovered on September 29, 1973 by CJ van Houten and Tom Gehrels at Palomar Mountain Observatory near Pauma Valley, California in the course of the Palomar-Leiden Survey. It has a period of 5 years, 156 days.
It was named for the ancient Greek sculptor Myron of Eleutherse, who lived in the 5th century BCE; perhaps his most famous work is Discobolos (The Discus Thrower), which has been copied from its original bronze to marble.
The meaning of asteroid Myron seems to be: smelling bad, "how you see the show depends on where you sit."
