Nephele

Asteroid 431, Nephele, was discovered by Auguste Charlois on December 18, 1897 in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France. It has a period of 5 years, 205 days and is slightly less than 71 miles in diameter.

It was named for the cloud nymph Nephele, mother of most of the Centaurs by Ixion.

Astrologically, asteroid Nephele seems to indicate smoke, smog, clouds, "blowing smoke," smoking, "smoking something," "in the clouds," foiled, ruses, deformed brainchildren, "given enough rope to hang oneself.". Damien Foor also says justify.

The glyph for Nephele is mine.

Thanks also goes to Francesco Schiavinotto and Jonathan Dunn for their work on this asteroid.
