Asteroid 18123, Pavan, was discovered on July 4, 2000 by the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth Object Search (LONEOS) at the Anderson Mesa Station of Lowell Observatory near Flagstaff, Arizona. It has a period of 5 years, 36 days.

It was named for Italian musician, writer, painter and amateur astronomer Luciano Pavan (born 1956).
