Pele



Asteroid 2202, Pele, an Amor asteroid, was discovered on September 7, 1972 by Arnold R. Klemola at the Lick Observatory near San Jose, California. It has a period of 3 years, 171 days.

It was named for Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of fire and volcanoes.

Astrologically, asteroid Pele seems to have to do with protecting property/space, not getting along with others, feuds, fights, disruptions, departures, that which is fiery or volcanic, also having to do with lava, lava flows or volcanic activity (Francesco Schiavinotto).

The glyph for Pele is mine and is meant to suggest lava flowing out of a volcano.
