Phoinix

Asteroid 4543, Phoinix, a Jupiter Trojan, was discovered on February 2, 1989 by Carolyn S. Shoemaker at Palomar Observatory near Pauma Valley, California. It has a period of 11 years, 193 days and is slightly less than 47 miles in diameter.

It was named for Phoinix, Achilles' stepfather, a wise old commander of the Greeks in the Trojan War, who urged Achilles to go fight in it when he was reluctant to.

Astrologically, it has been linked to what its name suggests: rebirth.
