Redqueen

Asteroid 17518, Redqueen, was discovered on December 18, 1992 by Akira Natori and Takeshi Urata at the JCPM Yakiimo Station in Shimizu, Shizuoka, Japan. It has a period of 4 years, 96 days.

It was named for a character from Lewis Carroll's Through The Looking Glass, The Red Queen, one of the sentient chess pieces Alice dealt with during her bizarre experiences; The Red Queen was given to responding to every situation by ordering the person involved beheaded.

Alice and the Red Queen

The meaning of asteroid Redqueen has been said to be: "off with his/her head" (maximum punishment for everything, termination, free-floating rage, decapitation)

The glyph for Redqueen is mine.
