Rote Kapelle

Asteroid 7700, Rote Kapelle, was discovered on October 13, 1990 by Freimut Borngen and Lutz D. Schmadel at Tautenberg, Thuringen, Germany. It has a period of 4 years, 141 days and is slightly less than 2 miles in diameter.

It was named for the members of Rote Kapelle (Red Orchestra), a left-wing resistance group of the Nazi era in Germany, operating mainly in Berlin and Hamburg. They were crushed by the Gestapo and many of them were executed.

Astrologically, according to Henk Middelraad, asteroid Rote Kapelle seems to be about terrorism or anti-terrorism.
