Stout

Asteroid 20430, Stout, was discovered on January 10, 1999 by Walter R. Cooney, Jr., and Susannah Lazar at Highland Road Park Observatory in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It has a period of 4 years, 112 days.

It was named for Earl Douglas Stout (1895?-1985), a music professor at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge who was a great-grandfather of Susannah Lazar.

The meaning of asteroid Stout seems to be: brave, cold, determined, violent (Henk Middelraad); possibly also, stout (in the physical sense).
