Strong

Asteroid 22622, Strong, was discovered on May 22, 1998 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team (LINEAR) at Socorro, New Mexico. It has a period of 3 years, 224 days.

It was named for Alexandria, Virginia high-school science teacher Joshua Strong, who mentored a finalist in the 2006 Intel Science Talent Search (STS).

The meaning of asteroid Strong, according to Henk Middelraad, seems to be what its name would suggest: strong.
