Tamara

Asteroid 326, Tamara, was discovered on March 19, 1892 by Johann Palisa at Vienna. It has a period of 3 years, 194 days and is 93 kilometers (57 3/4 miles) in diameter.

It was named for the medieval queen Tamar of Georgia (c. 1160-1216)(Tamara in Russian), known as Tamar the Great, a prominent figure in medieval romance and in Georgian culture to this day.

Tamar of Georgia

The meaning of asteroid Tamara seems to be: to "ditch" (Damien Foor); to throw up one's hands, to know when to quit; possibly, female political power.
