Terentia

Asteroid 1189, Terentia, was discovered on September 17, 1930 by Grigory Neujmin at Simeis, Ukraine. It has a period of 5 years, 7 days and is 55.88 kilometers (slightly less than 35 miles) in diameter.

It was named for an employee of the Simeis Observatory, Lidiya Terenteva (1879-1933).

The meaning of asteroid Terentia seems to be: torrential, a torrent, "pouring down," pesky, querulous.
