Toutatis

Asteroid 4179, Toutatis, an Apollo asteroid, was discovered on January 4, 1989 by Christian Pollas at the CERGA Observatory (now Observatory of the Cote d'Azur) at Caussols, Alpes-Maritimes, France (having been originally sighted in 1932 and then lost). It has a period of 4 years, 11 days and is about 4 miles in diameter.

It was named for the Celtic god Toutatis, worshipped mainly in France and Britain and believed to be a tribal protector, which was popularized by the French comic strip Asterix, created by Rene Goscinny and Albert Uderzo.

Astrologically, asteroid Toutatis has been linked to authority, pride, patriarchalism, bad things happening serving as equalizers, nationalism, institutions, organizations , also artistic creativity (Heather Cameron) and building monuments, self-aggrandization, falling objects and being struck by them..

The glyph for Toutatis is mine.
