Uglia

Asteroid 318794, Uglia, was discovered September 25, 2005 at Andrushivka Astronomical Observatory in Andrushivka, Zhytomyr, Ukraine. The observatory gets the discovery credit. It has a period of 4 years, 202 days.

It was named for The Ukrainian Humanities Lyceum (UGL in Ukrainian), which was founded in 1991. It is an innovative educational institution in the educational and scientific complex known as Modern Education, led by Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, a member of the UNESCO Associated schools.

The influence of asteroid Uglia, though, seems to be what its name suggests in English: ugly (Henk Middelraad).
