Asteroid 6751, van Genderen, was discovered on March 25, 1971 by C.J. van Houten, Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld, and Tom Gehrels at Palomar Observatory near Pauma Valley, California. It has a period of 3 years, 283 days.

It was named after Dutch astronomer Arnoud van Genderen (born 1936).

Astrologically, asteroid Van Genderen seems to indicate what its name suggests: sexuality, reproduction, "one thing leads to another."
