Verenia

Asteroid 3551, Verenia, an Amor object, was discovered on September 12, 1983 by Scott Dunbar at Palomar Observatory near Pauma Valley, California. It has a period of 3 years, 12 days and is 9/10 of a kilometer in diameter.

It was named for Verenia, the first vestal virgin consecrated in ancient Rome, by the legendary king Numa Pompilius.

The astrological meaning of Verenia seems to be: renouncing material wealth or possessions, renouncing sex or relationships, taking holy vows, "becoming a nun" (adopting an exaggeratedly upright lifestyle), celibacy.
