Vishnu


Asteroid 4034, Vishnu, an Apollo object, was discovered by Eleanor F. "Glo" Helin at Palomar on August 2, 1986. It has a period of 1 year, 33 days and is about 2/5 of a kilometer in diameter.

It was named for Vishnu, the Hindu god known as The Preserver/

Its astrological meaning seems to be informed by this: preservation, to save, to protect, to conserve.
