Asteroid 33814 Viswesh was discovered January 3, 2000 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) Team at Socorro, New Mexico. It has a period of 4 years, 52 days and is about 1 1/2 miles in diameter.
It was named for Sunnyvale, California middle-school student Annika Viswesh (born 2003), who was a finalist in the 2007 Broadcom MASTERS middle-school science fair for an app she designed to aid in eyepatch treatments for amblyopia, a common vision disorder of childhood.
