Wright

Asteroid 1747, Wright, was discovered on July 14, 1947 by Carl A. Wirtanen at the Mount Hamilton unit of Lick Observatory near San Jose, California. Wright has a period of years, days.

It was named for astrophysicist William H. Wright (1871-1959), a longtime member of the Lick Observatory staff and a former director of the observatory; he also has craters on Mars and the Moon named after him.

Astrologically, asteroid Wright seems to indicate "right," rights, the political right, aviation, invention..

The glyph for Wright is mine.
