Lazaridis

Asteroid 14428, Lazaridis, was discovered on November 8, 1991 by the Spacewatch program at Kitt Peak Observatory near Sells, Arizona. It has a period of 5 years, 241 days.

It was named for Greek-Canadian tech businessman Mihal "Mike" Lazaridis (born 1961), the founder of BlackBerry, as well as the Perimeter Institute, which is dedicated to physics research and science education.

The meaning of asteroid Lazaridis seems to be: to fight one's way back, to come back from the dead, to resurrect; possibly, science education and research, a belief in the positive power of science and technology.
