Asteroid 373, Melusina, was discovered on September 15, 1893 by Auguste Charlois in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France. It has a period of 5 years, 188 days and is about 61 1/3 miles in diameter.
It was probably named for Melusina (or Mélusine), a half-snake character in medieval French romance who was a legendary ancestor of the English royal house of Plantagenet (originally a French family of aristocrats) and appeared before the deaths of each of her descendants.

Melusina
Astrologically, asteroid Melusina seems to indicate "the handwriting on the wall.".
The glyph for Melusina is mine.
