Asteroid 11377, Nye, was discovered on September 17, 1998 by the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth-Object Search (LONEOS) at Anderson Mesa Station of Lowell Observatory near Flagstaff, Arizona.It has a period of 5 years, 299 days.

It was named for Ralph A. Nye (born 1945), Lowell Observatory's instrument designer.
