Asteroid 4335 Verona was discovered November 1, 1983 at Giordano Bruno Observatory in Cavriana, Mantua province, Italy ; the discovery credit goes to the observatory, whose observers were Luciano Lai, Ivano Rochetti and Giordano Vesentini. It has a period of 3 years, 106 days and is about 3 1/5 miles in diameter.

It was named for the city of Verona, Italy, the hometown of Lai, Rochetti and Vesentini; it is famous worldwide as the setting of Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet.
