Delgado


Asteroid 23221, Delgado, was discovered on November 1, 2000 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) Team in Socorro, New Mexico. It has a period of 3 years, 174 days.

It was named for Bayonne, New Jersey high school student Eric Nelson Delgado (born 1990), who was awarded first place and Best in Category in the 2007 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for his project on microbiology.
